We are a non-governmental organisation specialising in trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches to preventing violence, extremism, and terrorism. Our mission is to deliver whole-community interventions that are tailored to the unique contexts and needs of each participant.
Our work extends beyond individuals deemed at risk of committing acts of terrorism. We also support those often described as “Violence-Fixated Individuals” — people who may pose a risk of harm but fall below the threshold for traditional, state-led interventions.
Importantly, not all fixations are harmful. For many neurodivergent individuals, fixations are a natural and meaningful part of daily life. At TRACE, our fixation is community. We believe that resilient communities are safe communities — and that by working together, all community organisations can help create the conditions for people to live connected, pro-social lives.
At TRACE, we believe that a community-led approach is the most effective way to create lasting change. By working together, we can safeguard communities, break cycles of harm, halt radicalisation, and prevent violent extremism and terrorism. It is only through collective action that real and meaningful difference can be made.
